Double album gatefold sleeve
1968 Track Record/ polydor
As far as I can tell this is an original UK release?
But I'm no expert.
Been in my Mothers collection since the 60s or 70s
Not sure I can read the matrix code it's very tiny. But I think it is 61300#9
CONDITION:
First off this has been well loved and played over the years but sat in a good dry storage for the last 20 years
Sleeve is in good condition I would say. Not excellent. Has some small creases on the cover or in the laminate. Scuffing to corners / edges. But no tears or major creases and is all in tact. Pretty straight I.e. no damp warping to sleeve.
It has a thin laminate on. Not sure if this is original.
RECORD:
I play tested this on my record player.
Disc has surface marks, it has been well played over the years.
Side A: background noise, no skips that I noticed. A few small pops at the beginning. Nothing Major. Plays pretty well.
Disc is flat as far as I can tell. With only a barely noticeable wobble.
Side D:
For some reason side D is on reverse of side A.
Less noisy intro to this side. Plays very well. No skips or jumps.
A bit of noise on intro to voodoo Chile but no skips or jumps
Side B:
Bit of noise on intro. A couple of pops on 1st track.
Plays very well regardless.
Minimal disc wobble.
Side C: minimal intro noise.
This side has a scratch across track 2 which is a bit unfortunate. But it actually doesn't really effect the play very much at all. Just a bit of extra crackle for 20 seconds.
All in all this copy is in decent playable condition with a little authentic crackle. Just not for those looking for a copy that has been locked in a vault for 50 years.
