Electric Muse, The Story Of Folk Into Rock, 4 LP Box (1975, Island).
Seminal 4 disc overview of folk rock and its roots from Island Records.
Box is solid though has a fair bit of shelfwear, scuffing etc. I’ve tried to illustrate in the pics. The black surface has worn in a variety of places especially the edges, it has started to degrade and peel on the bottom edge.
The book is generally in quite good condition, binding is tight, there are no rips and the pages are fairly clean. It has had some moisture damage at some point and there’s visible buckling throughout and some creases to the page edges as well as numerous small marks to the gloss surface caused by use. There’s a small tear to top left of cover.
The records come in separate sleeves, all of which are in extremely good condition with only light signs of wear. The records are in original paper inners which are also very good.
The records themselves are in extremely good condition, with no significant marks and just the odd fingerprint. Playback is bright and clear with no scratches or distortion and little in the way of background noise, amazing for vinyl of this age.
