This is the Australian pressing. The vinyl looks great ( I've not test played, but can if preferred). There is a cleaning film look about side 1, side 2 looks great. The cover is in VG+ condition ( if not better), with a beaut gloss about the cover, nicely free of names, tears etc  ( just a tad of ringwear)

I also sell at mazdamusic for seller history & feedback...and items purchased there can be included in combined postage.( Combined postage capped at $12, no matter how many LPS are posted together).

Using the numbered gradings I work with..this record is 8.5-9/10 ( or better) on both aspects..but my gradings are visual and a full refund ( plus postage) will be given...if the playing quality is defect.

With my gradings, sing out if you prefer the goldmine index..but to line up the score out of 10..

"MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint. = 10/10

EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and / or creasing. ( or NEAR MINT= 9/10)

VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable. ( 8/10 OR 8.5/10 IF VG+)

GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc. (7/10)

FAIR: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and / or defaced. (6/10)

This is the second album by the Los Angeles based psychedelic/garage rock/pop group the Electric Prunes. Although, at the time, it didn't sell as well as their first, which meant nothing in terms of the quality within -- and rightly so, it has since become regarded as a classic album of the 60s psychedelic era and deserves a spot in every collection when interest lies in 60's rock & psychedelics. Underground consists of a range of styles that come together to create a strangely cohesive album. The throbbing reverbed-to-the-max psych-pop of "The Great Banana Hoax" and "Wind-Up Toys" somehow manages to lead into the tongue-in-cheek rural-rock "It's Not Fair" and the downright strange but delightful, "Dr. Do-Good." There are a number of solid pop-psych songs like "Children of Rain," "I Just Happen To Love You" and "Antique Doll" that help tie everything together. Psychedelic sounds and textures are abundant throughout Underground, which take otherwise good songs to new levels. It's this attention to detail that has secured Underground and the Prunes' legacy in psychedelic history. Who knows what they could have tapped into had they stuck together and gained full creative control. Certainly in with the best of USA psychedelic sixties ...
