*Drone music,[2][3] drone-based music,[4] or simply drone, is a minimal music genre[5] that emphasizes the use of sustained or repeated sounds, notes, or tone-clusters – called drones. It is typically characterized by lengthy audio programs with relatively slight harmonic variations throughout each piece. La Monte Young, one of its 1960s originators, defined it in 2000 as "the sustained tone branch of minimalism".
Eleh is an electronic/drone musician who began working in 1999[1] and whose first release was in 2006. He has so far been reticent about providing any public information on his identity.[2] Eleh has released music on Touch Records, Important Records and Taiga Records.
