Description
EPIC Records KE 31789 G/VG++ STEREO 1972. US original album with PROMO radio timing strip on back cover. Before Rainbow, Heaven and Hell, and all the "solo" albums, there was Elf!!! This is their debut album with the hard to find PROMO sticker on back cover. From hard blues to ballads to good ol' rock n' roll, the album kicks hard and shows the beginnings of what was to be, one of the greatest hard rock vocalists of all-time, Ronnie James Dio!!! R.I.P. Cover has water damage in upper right corner and on back in upper left corner, but the timing strip is nice and clean. The vinyl is shiny and clean, light scuff. The stock yellow EPIC labels have hardly a spindle marks. PLAY LOUD!!
As Always, ALL records are from MY OWN PERSONAL collection of OVER 45 years and again..NO JUNK!!!
I specialize in selling PROMOTIONAL albums in rock n' roll and jazz from the 1960's and 1970's. PROMO albums are usually pressed from the original master tapes in an extremely limited quantity, and are 1ST pressings!!! Many are issued with white labels, others have radio timing strips on the cover, just a promo sticker or gold cover stamps. Given out selectively to radio stations before the stock release, they generally have superior sound quality, are RARE, collectable, and getting VERY SCARCE!!!
PLEASE NOTE: I clean all my records with a PROFESSIONAL Nitty Gritty record cleaning machine, if necessary. I pack ALL records carefully. Records are placed outside of the record cover in a clear plastic record sleeve. Albums are bubble wrapped for safety and mailed in a STRONG cardboard record mailer box.
