I am having a massive clearout of DVD, CD and Vinyl, all from either my own collection or from 2 recent huge collections that I have recently been lucky to acquire, many of these items are either new and sealed, new and unplayed ( yes this is true neither collectors played or watched anything they bought !!!!)  or are generally in Mint / Near Mint or Excellent condition unless otherwise described.

Description:

UK 1st Press of ELIAS HULKS  iconic "UNCHAINED " album on the Young Blood label, Elias Hulk was a heavy psychedelic rock band from Bournemouth, England, active primarily in the late 1960s and early 1970s. Their only album, Unchained, released in 1970, has become a cult classic among collectors of early British hard rock.

Here’s a deeper look into their story:

Founded in 1968 by Bournemouth teenagers Peter Grenville “Gren” Frazer (rhythm guitar) and James Haines (bass), who had previously played in a pop-psych act called Free Love.

They briefly performed as The Parkers, a blues-rock duo that played at a free festival in Le Havre, France.

Upon returning to England, they expanded the lineup with:

Peter “Big Pete” Thorpe – lead vocals

Neil Tatum – lead guitar

Bernard James – drums

Elias Hulk’s sound was rooted in heavy psych and blues-rock, echoing the raw energy of bands like Led Zeppelin and Cream.

Their music featured gritty guitar riffs, powerful vocals, and dark, moody atmospheres, typical of the underground British rock scene of the time.

Released on the Young Blood label, Unchained was their only full-length album.

Though it didn’t achieve commercial success at the time, it has since gained recognition for its authentic heavy prog sound and is considered a hidden gem of the era

Disc Visual Grade: EXCELLENT

The disc sits completely flat on the turntable with no warping or dishing. Under a strong halogen spotlight, there are a handful of very light skating hairlines : Labels are lovely and clean minimal spindle marking. 

DISC has been ultrasonically cleaned using a Humminguru cleaner  

Audio Grade: EXCELLENT

The record plays through incredibly well, there is the odd pop / very light background noise on run in and the odd pop in between tracks but overall a fantastic listening experience 

Sleeve Grade: EXCELLENT  
Sleeve has some VERY light shelf wear to the edges / corners  and spine is lovely and clearly readable. Some very light discoloration / ageing to the lighter areas - NO writing, tears or Stickers

GRADING
All my items are visually graded and I generally use the Record collector guidance, records are only play tested if they are of a value over £40, this will be noted on the listing description. Any damage will be described in the listing but please take time to examine the photographs or ask any questions and ensure you are happy.

GRADING GUIDANCE -

Mint - Only used if item is sealed or are guaranteed to be new and unplayed

Near Mint - The records looks as though it has been rarely played .
Excellent - The record shows signs of having been played but there are little or no significant marks on the playing surface.
Very Good+ - The record has obviously been played and there are some light hairlines / scuffs on the playing surface.
Very Good - The record has obviously been played and there are noticeable marks and scuffs on the playing surface. If these marks look as though they will impact play back it will be play tested, this will be noted in the listing description.

PACKAGING
All of my records are sent in specialist mailers and larger orders in specialist boxes. Vinyl is removed from the outer sleeve prevent seam splits in transit and dispatched in an outer plastic sleeves to minimize surface wear and prevent moisture damage.

DOMESTIC POSTAGE
Within the UK all items are dispatched using Royal Mail 2nd Class with proof of purchase retained, more valuable items will be send 2nd Class recorded.
