This is the Ultradisc II re-release of this classic album
The original CD arrived with a damaged case. It was transferred to a new Lift Lock Case and then resealed immediately on arrival
The original MOFI New Releases sheet of September 1993 states:
"Mobile Fidelity is pleased to announce the 1993 Christmas Ultradisc II release of Ella Fitzgerald's classic Ella Wishes You a Swingin' Christmas. This collection of traditional holiday favorites was recorded in 1960 by one of the great voices of jazz at the peak of her abilities. Fitzgerald was accompanied by Frank DeVol and his orchestra, with Norman Granz producing. Mobile Fidelity's Ultradisc II reissue brings out the full range and warmth of Ella's rich contralto on chestnuts like Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas, Jingle Bells, Winter Wonderland and White Christmas.
A seasonal favorite for years, this festive reissue will appeal to young and old, to cool yule hipsters and jazz traditionalists, and to fans of pop vocalists. Ella's legendary interpretive powers, along with her unique phrasing and vocal artistry, will keep spirits swinging through the holidays.
