Description
Ella Fitzgerald And Louis Armstong,Ella Fitzgerald And Louis Armstong,LP, Catalogue Number: (MG V-4003), Cover Details: Front laminated sleeve with a Company inner sleeve.
Cover Condition: very good condition with some creasing or marks as seen in the pictures or noted.
Record Condition: Has been played a fair amount and clearly shows surface marks which are likely to affect play in some way with background noise in most of the quiet parts & possibly the odd click but should not jump or skip.
Any Other Details: Rare original American mono pressing, on the orange and yellow deep groove Verve record label. Has 'Long Playing Micro Groove Verve Records, Inc - Made In USA' text at the bottom of the label. Unlike most first press yellow and orange labels the matrix numbers are hand etched, 50078-1 with 1A (stamped) & 50079-1 with B1 (stamped), both run outs also have the letter 'R' stamped into them. This record has been listened to and on our record player it has light background crackles throughout and several areas of more noticeable crackles. There were several light pops and one or two louder ones on both sides. There are no jumps or sticks. The sleeve has wear at the top and bottom spine corners. There is a 2cm top seam split starting at the opening edge and a 4mm bottom seam split also at the opening edges. The back cover has some shelf wear and age related discolouration. The spine text is legible and there are no large creases. A new plain white inner sleeve has been provided as the original inner is grubby and has some splits
