A rare chance to pick up a very clean original Stereo 1961 pressing of this audiophile favorite on the Verve label. In comparison to the 180 and 200 gram reissues of this I hear a more extended and airier high end than those issues. Remember this LP was pressed when the master tapes were fresh and new. I am rating this vinyl as Excellent (or Mint Minus) only because of a few very low level ticks (mostly between tracks). 95% of this plays Near Mint. No spindle marks at all on one side and just a couple on the other. The record has barely been played with no scuffs or scratches visible. The vinyl is very quiet overall and sounds really great. The cover is also very nice with only some slight brownish spots just above the Verve logo on the front. A BB sized cut out hole in the upper left hand corner. Great looking very white back cover. Best copy I have seen of this in thirty years of dealing quality vinyl. You see lots of late 1960's second pressings of this LP but the original label Verve's in this condition are few and far between. Check my feedback for great service and strict play grading of high quality vinyl. This has been cleaned on a pro VPI 17F record cleaning machine which vastly lowers the noise floor and improves the sound of any record dramatically. While eBay requires us to post Media Mail at $4 I highly encourage any US buyer to pay $7 extra and use Priority Mail as it is a much faster service and records get much better treatment during shipping. Media Mail can also be very slow at times (up to two weeks) while Priority Mail is 2-3 days anywhere in the US. No hassle return policy.
