Description
Ella Fitzgerald With Duke Ellington And His Orchestra – Ella Fitzgerald Sings The Duke Ellington Song Book Vol. 2
The discs have more than 3 scuffs or scratches and spindle marks though they aren’t overwhelming. No skipping or warping. Close to near mint on disc 2. The cover and inners have serious challenges. They were likely made with acidic materials that degrade over time. The cover has splitting all along the top edge and foxing on the inside of the gatefold. The original inners have many small tears fading and creases.
This release wasn’t reissued often in the 20th century. One might argue vol.2 is better than vol.1 as the artists were likely given more reign of content creation and incorporates some of Ellington’s most celebrated works. The discs are nice for listening to. Lots of violin accompaniment. Unfortunately the cover and inners are showing their age.
