Description

Elton John - Don't Shoot Me I'm Only The Piano Player - Vinyl LP - Picture/lyric booklet
Translucent Vinyl This is one of the early releases in which the vinyl was translucently coloured.  This means that the vinyl looks like the normal black type until you place it against light and you can see through it, usually with a red or purple tint.   This one is unusual in that it is dark purple with a marbled/splatter effect with light purple/red and yellow (see last picture).
Booklet The picture/lyric booklet is in excellent condition, attached to the album cover with one staple in the centre.
Matrix numbers in vinyl run-out are: Side 1 - DJLPH 427 A2 Side 2 - DJLPH 427-B3
Condition: Record - Excellent.  Record looks hardly played with just some very light marks visible under strong light and little sign of play (1 or 2 spindle marks on centre labels and a nice shiny sheen to the vinyl).  No warps.  A great looking record. Sleeve - Some light creasing around the edges and some light wear to corners.  Otherwise nice and clean.

Combined Postage when purchasing up to 5 records I can combine postage on up to 5 records (Doubles count as 2 records).  For discounted postage please wait for an invoice with adjusted prices (please note: I can't do it after payment has been made).  To do this select 'Add to basket' which appears under the 'buy it now' button.  When you have put your items in the basket open the basket and select 'Request Total'.  I will send you an adjusted invoice.
The record will be posted in a record mailer with a stiffener.  The record will be placed in the innersleeve but outside of the outer sleeve to reduce chance of damage to the spine.
Anything selling for over £20 will be sent signed for at no extra cost (i.e. you just pay 1st or 2nd Class Royal Mail Standard).
Vinyl Grading System

Mint:  A perfect record.  This record looks like it has just left the manufacturer.  No scuffs or scratches or marks of any kind on the vinyl.

Sleeve:  No creases, splits, writing or stickers.  Again, looks like it has just left the manufacturer.

Near Mint: This record appears virtually flawless.  There may be a very minor scuff, which is very hard to see, but little else will appear on the vinyl.  It should play without any noise over the flaw.

Sleeve: Looks close to perfect with only minor signs of wear and/or age.  Minor impressions to the cover, due to the edge of the vinyl pressing against it, may be present.

Excellent: The Vinyl may have minor scuffs or light marks, which are only slightly visible. It should play without any noise over the flaw.

Sleeve: There may be impressions to the cover from the edge of the record pressing against it. There may be slight creases and some wear to corners but no splits or repairs

Very Good +: The record shows wear and there may be some surface scuffs and/or light scratches. These may be more visible but the record should play without noise over the flaws.

Sleeve: There will be more wear/ aging visible on this cover. There may be some creasing and wear to the corners.  Some minor wear to the seams or spine but no tears or holes popping through.

Very Good: The record has obviously been played many times but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and or light scratches.

Sleeve:  worn/used. Maybe with seam splitting and ring wear. It may have a snowy effect in parts and there may be writing on it. It will look aged and yellowish but it should still be decent.         Please see full description
