Description
Excellent copy of Elton John's seminal 1973 album, Goodbye Yellow Brick Road. Limited yellow-coloured vinyl edition in a stunning 6-panel gatefold sleeve. RARE and highly collectable. A must for Elton John record collectors.
Records have been thoroughly cleaned using VinylClear record cleaning solution (the same solution used to clean records at Abbey Road Studios). I've also played both records prior to listing to ensure they're accurately graded.
Records - VG+
Records are clean and shiny. All four sides sound fantastic.
A Side has some superficial marks and scratches, as well as some black spotting on the left-hand side (see final photo). These spots don't affect play in any way. Plays great, sounds superb. If surface noise is present, it certainly isn't audible.
B Side has some larger scratches which are clearly visible under light. Like the A side, it also a tiny bit of spotting. Plays with minimal surface noise (audible pops during first few tracks but no skips or jumps). Music shines through.
C Side looks stunning with one tiny coloured dot in the runout and final track (we're talking less than 1mm in size). Plays great, sounds superb. Occasional surface noise overpowered by music to the extent that you can hardly hear it.
D Side has a couple of superficial marks and scratches which you'll be hard-pressed to see (I’m being pedantic). Plays beautifully. I couldn't hear any surface noise when I listened to it. This truly is a top-class copy!
Labels - Excellent
All four labels are clean and shiny with D12 written in small black pen on the right-hand side. Thankfully, whoever wrote it on the labels did so quite discreetly.
Sleeve - Excellent
Sleeve is in superb condition. Some tiny scuffs to the corners but, as you can see from the photographs, they're so small they're barely noticeable.
Packaging
I will place both records in Diskeeper 2.0 Anti-Static Inner Sleeves rather than standard paper sleeves. I will also place the cover in a protective plastic outer sleeve. Record will be delivered in a MusicMax 12" mailer with stiffeners for ultimate protection.
