Description
Elton John “Greatest Hits” Vinyl LP/Album 1981 Reissue MCA Records. This particular album is a 1981 reissue edition of the 1974 MCA Records release. Note, the MCA Silver Super Savings label embedded toward the right corner of the front cover. The album is overall in good to very good condition, considering its age. There are only a few small creases on the left side of the front cover. The back cover has a few small creases on the right side and there is some light wear along the top. The only issue of concern on the outside of the album is that the back cover has about a 2 1/2 inch separation from the front cover on the left bottom corner, where the glue or adhesive has broken loose. There is also a small tear at the end of the separation.
The inner sleeve is the original sleeve that came with this reissue edition and is not the same inner sleeve that came from the original 1974 release. The inner sleeve is intact and has no tears or slits. The inner sleeve has creases on the both bottom corners.
The condition of the vinyl is good to very good. I can only detect a couple of minor scratches on Side 1 and only one light scratch on Side 2. Although it has been close to 30 years, since I last played this record, I don’t remember any skipping or audio issues. However, I am not making any guarantees, as I no longer have a turntable to test the playback of the album.
