On offer here is a superb NEAR MINT UK 1st pressing of Elton's 2nd LP on the black & yellow DJM label: DJLPS.406

This is the ultimate audiophile copy, pressed by PYE records on ultra high-quality translucent red vinyl


Housed in a matt, textured gatefold cover

Complete with its original plain white 'Patent No.' inner-sleeve.

A perfect set with no spindle marks to either centre hole.

Visual: NEAR MINT

Immaculate surfaces which are unmarked and 'as new' strong daylight, with just a few barely visible wispy paper hairlines visible directly beneath my powerful halogen desk lamp.

Play: NEAR MINT

This disc was UNPLAYED by its previous owner. My careful playcheck at volume uncovered just three light ticks at the beginning of 'First Episode At Heinton' but no other faults or wear on this great sounding pressing.

Cover

EXCELLENT

Due to its matt, unlaminated finish, this is an extremely difficult cover to find in this kind of condition. Stored all its life in a loose plastic cover, both front & rear panels are unrubbed and have no traces of any ringwear. The only significant blemish on the entire cover are two tiny specks of missing paper towards the upper right corner of the front panel. There is a bump to the upper left corner & a small rub to the lower left but both opening edges are unworn. Inside is pristine with no marks or wear. Both seams and the spine are free from any rubbing, stresses or any other signs of wear.
