Description

You are bidding on an original 1977 Dutch picture sleeve 7" vinyl single release of Elvis Costello 'Red Shoes' b/w 'Mystery Dance'. The Netherlands was the only country in which this single was released with a picture sleeve.  Even the UK issue only ever came with a generic  Stiff Records sleeve.

I can only visually grade the vinyl as I don't own a turntable. I would grade it as VG+ as it has some light surface marks probably due to being taken from and being put back into its'  sleeve and due to having been handled and played by previous owner but it still retains its' glossy sheen.

The sleeve I would grade as VG due to some obvious wear on the edges and particularly bottom left-hand corner on the front of the sleeve where it has also had a little colour fade with age. (It is virtually 40 years old!) There are also a few small bumps in the cover where a previous owner has put a false centre in the cut out centre spindle hole.  I removed that false centre as soon as I got hold of this item. Some people are unbelievably reckless! Please see scans for detail of the wear on both sides of the cover and labels. Having said that there are no seam splits. All in all, not a bad copy and priced accordingly for its' condition. Mint copies go for quite a lot more.
