1968 RARE Monaural Elvis, Gold 4 and Speedway!!!!!!!

"Burning Love Records"

Item:  "Elvis Gold Records, Volume 4"  STILL SEALED Monaural

Catalog:  LPM-3921

Condition Check:   Still Sealed and Mint

Date of Issue:  1968

Today's Auctions:  Today I am offering two records that beyond a doubt make up the rarest records I have ever offered on Ebay in 13 years.  A few months ago I bought an all sealed collection of Elvis albums and these are the very best of those records.  Elvis Gold 4 Monaural and Speedway Monaural, two of the rarest records in the world today, and both are perfect and sealed.  I have never seen or heard of another Sealed "Speedway", they could exist, but likely you will never see this offer again!  The collector that sold me these records stated that he had to order the Monaural "Speedway" as it was not available any other way.  The story of these albums and their rarity is as follows.  In 1968 RCA along with the other record companies were abandoning the Mono format in favor of stereo.  Gold 4 was dramatically affected by this decision as shown by pressing numbers, very few were pressed and through the years it has become more and more obvious as to its scarcity.  Mint book several years ago for a Mint Gold 4 was $1500, I would suspect the Sealed value of that to double.  Now that is even more true on "Speedway", apparently it may have been a special order only, if they did get to record stores it was only a handful.  "Speedway" Mono has been reported as one of the top ten rarest records in the world today, that is not just Elvis records, but for all records. I have seen the book value on this MINT range from $4,000 to $6,000 and that was for mint, this is STILL SEALED and PERFECT.  Both of these have incredibly high mint book values, but you can throw this books out here, both of these are still sealed.  If you collect Elvis you know that they simply don't come any rarer than these stunning albums.

Closer Look At the Item:  Here is the intro to the day of days for Elvis collectors.  My first item is "Elvis Gold Records, Volume 4" and it of course is the Monaural release that is impossible to find.   The cover is absolutely perfect, not a flaw on the cover, not on the shrink, it does have a small white original price sticker on the upper left corner of the front of the shrink wrap.  This is just a beautiful album in every way, if you collect Elvis this is one of those rare opportunities to own a piece that will just continue to spiral up in value, it simply get's no better than this LP!  Simply stunning!

Note on Packaging:  All LP's are packaged in Japanese Mylar resealable sleeves, the finest in the industry today.  All records are removed from the covers and shipped inside their inner sleeve to not cause any damage to the cover in transit.  All packages are also shipped in boxes to protect both the record and cover.

Rating Guide:

Mint (M):  Perfect in every way, looks to have never been played, should have that look just as it did when you pulled the record from the new cover at the time of original purchase.

Mint Minus (M-):  A nearly perfect record and cover.  This item should show no readily visible signs of wear,  covers and sleeves should have no more than nearly invisible rings or other signs of slight wear and vinyl should still be completely glossy and shiney, just the very lightest hint of wear if it is tilted to very bright light.

Very Good Plus (VG+):  This record will show some signs that it was played and otherwise handled carefully by the previous owner.  Record surfaces will show some light signs of paper scuffing or light scratches, that don't affect the listening experience.  Slight warps that do not affect sound are OK.  This disc should still contain much of its original luster and sheen.  The covers and picture sleeves should also be in very nice shape, they may have light ring wear or other signs of wear, may have a small cut out hole, indention or stamping present.  Also there can be non obvious writing on the paper goods.

Very Good (VG):  Many of the defects found in the VG+ record and cover will be present but more pronounced in the VG item.  Surface noise will be evident, although the record should play through without skipping or repeating.  Groove wear will now be noticable, scuffing and light scratching will be appearent, a scratch now can be felt with a fingernail.  Labels will be marred with tape or tape residue, stickers or descret writing.  The same will be true for the LP cover or picture sleeve.

Good (G):  Good does not mean bad!  A record in good condition should be placed on a turntable and it should play through, all though the surface noise will be evident.  A cover or picture sleeve will have seam splitting, especially on the bottom seam or spine.  Also there will be noticable ring wear caused by the presence of the record.  The defects will start to overwhere this item.

Fair (F) or Poor (P):  This record will be cracked, badly warped, and will not play through without skipping or repeating.  The picture sleeeve or LP cover will show lots and lots of wear, the seams will be split on all three sides barely able to hold the record.  This item will appear near valueless, unless of course it is a rarity that may not be seen again.

THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!!
