This listing is for a 12” LP by Elvis Presley titled “Please Release Me”.

This album is a BMI Promotional copy, which was “Not for Sale”. I would guess that this was obtained at a live concert so has limited production number.

The record cover states on the rear face: - “..this album is not like any other. It is in fact a collection of things and songs. Some of these songs were available before but quite different.” For example “Fame and Fortune” is the television soundtrack version.

Record label: 1st Records No 161. Stereo

Record identification marks: 1501A-1. Manufactured in Memphis, Tennessee.

Record condition: Appears to be in excellent/mint condition. As with all used records, some additional markings might be seen under high magnification and different lighting conditions. You should take this into account when bidding.

Sleeve type and condition: Outer sleeve still retains the original plastic sleeve, although opened to remove the record. So, it is in excellent condition with just minor marks commensurate with age and storage. The inner sleeve appears to be the original waxed example and has creases/staining/marks commensurate with age.

All records being offered for sale have come from the home of a deceased friend. They have all been checked to verify that the contents match the sleeve. All records are untested and will require cleaning before playing. I am not a record expert and condition is subjective. However, I have tried to be as honest as possible. Dates stated refer to those printed on the record face, where applicable.
