Description
This is one of SIXTY 78 rpm records I'm listing this week. These I purchased over the last 20 years, from record dealers, to play in my 78 rpm Wurlitzer, Seeburg, Rockola (Rock-ola) and AMI Jukeboxes. I methodically alphabetized them, and stored them in the corner of my office. I'm not saying that they've never been played.......only that they haven't been played by ME.
Please take a moment to click the "VIEW SELLER'S OTHER ITEMS" link, to see all of the 78 rpm records I'm selling...THIS WEEK ONLY.
Packing and shipping by USPS "priority mail" will be a $8. I am happy to combine multiple purchases to save on shipping. Insurance and delivery confirmation is manditory on this item.
PA residents must add 6% sales tax.
Please note: I AM NOT A RECORD COLLECTOR. I am a Jukebox collector. Therefore, I am unable to "grade" them as a record collector. All I can do is try my best, so here goes.........
THIS IS ABOUT HALF OF THE 78's THAT I'LL BE LISTING ON EBAY....BOOKMARK MY AUCTIONS, AS I HOPE TO BE LISTING THE REST OF THEM NEXT WEEK........
This particular record is:
"That's All Right" by Elvis Presley, on Sun records (Sun 209). I bought this YEARS ago, from a record collector, who then lived in Missouri.......RAY ARE YOU OUT THERE. I haven't been in contact with him for several years. He had graded this as a "VG+". I believe I played it once when I got it, and I JUST NOW TESTED IT ON MY WURLITZER 1100 JUKEBOX, and it plays VERY WELL with no problems.
Please view the pictures. I like to post LARGE photos, so that if I left something out in the description, you would see it in the photos.
The "trail off" area has the correct engraving of "U-128 72". This is GUARANTEED to be an original pressing.
AOL USERS PLEASE NOTE: 40% or more of the invoices I send to AOL users are NOT DELIVERED by AOL - PLEASE DO NOT WAIT A WEEK OR TWO AND SEND ME A NASTY EMAIL TELLING ME I HAVE NOT CONTACTED YOU - CHECK YOUR SPAM FOLDER - OR CONTACT AOL AND TELL THEM TO DELIVER YOUR EMAILS.
On Jun-01-05 at 09:13:58 PDT, seller added the following information:I've had an email, asking if I could post pictures of the other side.....so here they are.........
On Jun-02-05 at 12:42:04 PDT, seller added the following information:OK.........I've had the following question..... "Does costly mandatory insurance apply to sending this item to Europe as well , or can it be left it as an option?"
If ANY buyer feels that uncomfortable about paying for insurance, then so be it, they don't have to. I am VERY fussy about the way I pack and ship things.
My wife thought I was crazy this morning, as I took 2 (worthless) 78's, and packed them identically, in separate boxes, the way I would for my normal "USPS Priority (domestic) shipping", and DROPPED THEM OUT MY SECOND STORY WINDOW to my paved driveway below. Both survived WITHOUT being broken.
I'm hoping that none of these 78's I sell go through that kind of abuse, but it's good to know that they should survive it.
ON THIS PARTICULAR record, it will be placed in a sleeve, on a sheet of cardboard, and sandwiched between 2 pieces of 1inch DOW foam-board (the kind used on the exterior of houses for insulation). It will then be placed in a larger box, with foam packing-peanuts around. It will then be placed in a LARGER box, with more foam packing-peanuts.
That is.....unless the high bidder would like it packed up differently. I'm fairly easy to get along with.
