Description
ELVIS PRESLEY on Prime 18/19 label with songs of "BURNING LOVE" (reached #2 on the Billboard charts in 1972) / "I CAN'T HELP FALLING IN LOVE WITH YOU" (reached #2 in 1961). This is very lightly used with only very minor few scuffs and light surface scratches. This is a reproduction 78rpm record that is a re-issue on vinyl made in the 1980’s for jukebox owners. This is similar to the Rhino and Jukebox Classics sets and can be played on jukeboxes with updated light weight tone arms. I have experience shipping 78rpm records and have never had a problem; so they will be packed well for safe delivery. I have other 78rpm repro records listed this week.
This has been play graded on a modified Technics turntable for 78rpm speed using a Shure M44C magnetic cartridge with a Shure 3mil diamond needle with less than 5 hours play on it at a weight of 3.7 grams - both sides were played all the way through with no skips and has excellent fidelity with no hiss. However, the 'Burning Love' side has 6 'ticks' in the last 5 seconds of the song as it trails off; and the 'I Can't Help Falling In Love With You' has 6 'ticks' at the beginning between 6 and 12 seconds into the song. But when played on my Wurlitzer jukebox that has a 2 mil needle using an Astatic 51-2 ceramic cartridge at 36 grams weight, there are no ticks to be heard at all.
