Description
As I continue to auction my enormous 35-year-plus collection of Elvis Presley records, you now have the opportunity to bid on this EXCELLENT copy of "A DATE WITH ELVIS" (LPM-2011). Quite rare in this lofty grade and always in high demand by collectors! Released in 1959 on the RCA Victor label, this First Pressing has very glossy vinyl and beautiful labels! There are just some very light spindle marks. The engraved Matrix Numbers are (Side 1): K2 PP-1148-6S and (Side 2): K2 PP-1149-2S. This record exhibits striking eye-appeal and it played extremely well all the way through on both sides! There are just some very minor paper sleeve scuffs along with a few very light superficial scratches that have absolutely no affect on the "New Orthophonic High Fidelity". The cover is VG+ with some edge abrasions, mostly along the edge to the left of Elvis' picture. At that same edge, there is just the beginning of the seam splitting; about 1/4 inch. The opposite corner has very minor wear. The spine is very clean and the lettering fully legible! There is virtually no ring wear on this cover. The Red Sticker was affixed too close to the edge of the cover upon manufacture, which resulted in wear along that edge of the sticker over the years. There is absolutely no tape, writing, grafitti, staple holes or stickers anywhere on this cover! Aside from the very few minor negatives having been mentioned, this is an absolutely beautiful album and a great representation of the early Rock 'n Roll era. It is scarce in this condition as most of these have fully split seams and the records are heavily scratched. This particular example belongs in a high-end collection of Elvis Presley records and/or memorabilia! See the photos and judge for yourself.
This item includes the original RCA Victor Inner Sleeve depicting other popular (Easy Listening) albums of the era.
Please Note: I ship all records in cardboard record mailers and not those flimsy bubblewrap envelopes which offer no true protection from breakage.
Good luck in your bidding and contact me if you have any questions.
