My neighbor died a few weeks ago and the family cleaned the place out and had a big yard sale. They knew I use records in my art so they brought over a big stack of 45s. When I went through them to see what I could use, I found among many other old labels, this Elvis Presley 45 from Sun Records.
Please understand I know very little if anything about collectible records but I know about Sun Records and I know a bit about Elvis. I don't have a turntable so I can't say how well it plays but the record appears to be in pretty darned good shape considering it's older than I am! There is some light scuffing and a few fingerprints but no visible scratches. The label has some writing on it (a date) and a couple of scuffs on the inner edges. The sleeve is not original. This record was in with a bunch of other old 45s of various labels, all of which are in very good shape - most with their original sleeves which are undamaged. Most of these records almost look new!
I'm not sure what other information people are going to want about this record so feel free to send questions and I'll try to answer them each evening. And please have patience with me, as I said, I'm an artist - not a record collector.
