ELVIS PRESLEY "Christmas Album " (RCA 27052) - 1st PRESSING ! 10.57
Cover unique to RCA UK. RCA UK issued this album for a good few years ending I believe in the mid 60s with a red dot label and a straight flip back cover. They also revised the back and lost the images.This is the very first pressing from 1957 with oval flip back with the Silver RCA labels.
RECORD: Visual Grading -Looks Ex both sides retain a high gloss ! There are some light wispy sleeve withdrawal marks when viewed under a bright light . Upon inspection under a bright light I see some faint hairlines. One one each side. I am being very critical.
LABELS: Good colour with minor spindle markings. (I will add images of these in the next two days)
COVER: - LOOKS EX+. SUPERB-The flimsy sleeve has survived incredibly well.
The cover as you will see in certainly all there. Still rich in colour. No rips or repairs. Oval flip backs in place and complete and tight. NO FRONT LAMINATION PEEL
Spine sharp line and crisp. No serious decompression marks from vinyl being stored in the sleeve over the years. Some absolute minor shelf wear to spine side corners as shown and tiny lamination peel in places in to the rear opening area as shown, and on flip-backs. However on the upper flip-back the lamination has just become unbounded rather than missing. (Examine images please)
The white areas remain bright with the lovely shiny lamination making for bold black text and images of the King.
No tape, writing or staple holes whatsoever! A truly clean and original cover. This LP due to being less common that the first pressing cover is one that is worthy of placement in a high-end collection of Elvis Presley records and/or memorabilia.
