Description

This is an auction for a RARE ORIGINAL copy of the 1956 single Don't Be Cruel / Hound Dog released in the USA.

The record itself (47-6604 RARER SILVER LINE) is in EXCELLENT- condition and retains some of it's natural sheen.

There are some visible marks/scratches (nothing that can be felt)

The labels are quite bright and have NO WRITING ( see photos)

The picture sleeve is much sought after and was listed in a U.S guide book back in 2016 as $60 in the condition it is in now (which I would say is VERY GOOD+ ) for the sleeve alone!!!

There are seam splits,small tears to the top opener( hence the lower price)

On the plus side there is NO WRITING. ( see photos)

This is also the RARER sleeve with Don't Be Cruel On Top ( rather than the more common Hound Dog on Top).

The record is also stored in a separate paper sleeve to prevent anymore wear to this rare sleeve!!

Overall 2 years ago this was valued at $90 (£85 approx.)

I don't have a current price guide but i would say at least £88.

With a LOW START and NO RESERVE you might be able to grab yourself a bargain!!!

This would be an affordable filler in any collection until that £140+ MINT copy comes along!
