You have the opportunity to bid on this highly desireable First Pressing of "ELVIS' CHRISTMAS ALBUM" (LOC-1035) from 1957. I now ship WORLDWIDE EXCEPT FOR ITALY. I have over 25 years of experience in collecting and grading vinyl and base my grading skills on that experience. All grading is visual unless otherwise stated. I am now selling duplicates from my collection. As many Elvis collectors know, this album was released for one year only, in 1957, and the value placed on these reflects that scarcity. I have played this album all the way through on both sides and despite the random superficial scratches, it played great with no skips! Do not expect to play this and not hear any ticks or other surface noise, because you will hear some of that on this 52-year-old record. The vinyl is not Near Mint. However, I cannot say that it is anything less than VG+ because of the vinyl retaining so much of its original sheen. The labels are highly attractive with just a few spindle marks. The cover grades VG+ as well, with the bound-in photo album completely intact! On many of these albums, the photo album is completely torn away from the staples, the pictures torn or written on and the spine completely split from top to bottom. Not on this one! I must note that the spine had begun to split at sometime in the past, but someone had done a very professional job of applying some clear glue at the center of the spine to prevent further splitting. It is barely even noticeable unless examined closely. The gold lettering is all there and readable from top to bottom. There is some wear around the corners and a tiny 1/2 inch split at the top seam at the open end; very trivial, but mentioned for honesty sake. There is absolutely no writing, stickers, holes or grafitti present. This LP comes with a plain white inner sleeve that appears to be period correct, though there are no company logos. Overall, this is a fine original Elvis album that any fan would be proud to own in his/her collection.
