ELVIS PRESLEY - ELVIS' GOLD RECORDS, VOL. 2 (LPM-2075) - A FIRST PRESSING FROM 1959 WITH THE ORIGINAL COVER - NO TEXT ON THE BACK! AN ORIGINAL NEAR MINT SURVIVOR!!
RECORD: NM with beautiful, original sheen. This record has stunning eye-appeal! The labels on this Indianapolis pressing are NM with not even a spindle mark to be found. The matrix numbers end with the lowest possible at 1S/1S. This record is a true survivor and was obviously adult-owned from day-1 and saw perhaps one or two plays in its entire 55 years! You will find NONE NICER!
COVER: EXCELLENT with some upper and lower edge wear from being shelved over the years. This is the RARE, First Issue cover with the record number inside of the "RCA Victor" box to the upper right-hand corner and absolutely no text whatsoever on the back! This album was released in 1959. In 1960, RCA Victor made some changes to it, adding two white boxes on the back; one which describes "Electronically Reprocessed Stereo" (to the left) and the other, a blurb about RCA Victor's monophonic records and "Miracle Surface" (to the right). The other change involved the front, where LPM-2075 was moved from inside of the box at the upper right, down to the lower left corner. These changes resulted in the very first cover, the one you see here, becoming an instant collectible! This cover does show very minimal ring wear on the front, along with some very minor corner wear. the back does show some more noticeable ring wear and scuffing from contact with other albums over the years. There is, however, no seam splits, tape, writing or staple holes whatsoever! This is a very clean and fully original album that deserves placement in a high-end collection of Elvis Presley records and/or memorabilia.
