ELVIS PRESLEY - ELVIS' GOLDEN RECORDS (LPM-1707) - FIRST PRESSING with no "RE" on Back!

For your consideration, "ELVIS' GOLDEN RECORDS" (LPM-1707), Released in 1958 on RCA Victor Records, this is the absolute earliest version with no "RE" on the back of the cover and the light blue letters and no song titles on the front.

RECORD: VG Rockaway pressing. This is the scarcer version that shows "ELVIS' GOLDEN RECORDS" shifted to the left on the labels. The vinyl shows some superficial sleeve scuffs and light scratches that may result in some light surface noise or sporadic "ticks". Overall, this record should play quite well. The matrix numbers end with 8S/4S. 

COVER:  VG FIRST cover with no "RE" on the back! After just a few months, RCA Victor decided to change wording in the last paragraph of the first column in the text on the back. This cover reads: "After thirty-one grueling 'takes', a satisfactory master was finally made". The "RE" cover states: "After several rehearsal 'takes', a satisfactory master was finally made" and that change resulted in the cover having to carry the "RE" after the catalog number! This original cover has "ELVIS' GOLDEN RECORDS" in light blue letters and no song titles on the front. There is a 6-inch upper seam split as well as a 4-inch lower seam split along with very light edge & corner wear. A very well-kept album for being 56 years old! There is no tape, writing or staple holes present.

INNER SLEEVE:  Gray RCA Victor sleeve with a few tears and splits.
