Description
Up for bid is a rare mono LP, "Elvis' Golden Records," by Elvis Presley. See pictures for song list. This was released by RCA Victor (LPM 1707) in 1958. Interior labels have "Long Play" at the bottom, with a deep groove on either side. Stamped matrix info reads H2 WP 8398 1S with "A2" stamped at the 12 o'clock position on the dead wax in the matrix area / H2 WP8399--2S with "D2" stamped at the one o'clock position on the dead wax in the matrix area. LP is VG+ with light scuffs on either side. This LP also has a couple of tiny light scratches on either side. This LP plays with some surface noise (some intermittent crackle, tics, and a couple of pops) but no skips. Interior labels are very clean. LP is very clean and retains a nice gloss. Jacket is VG+, with several seam splits. One is on the top seam that starts at the mouth and travels toward the spine about 1/4 inch. Another is on the bottom seam that starts at the mouth and travels toward the spine about 1/4 inch. Finally, there is a split on the spine that starts at the top corner and travels downward about 2 inches. A previous owner has written her name in blue ink twice on the back of the cover and once on the front (see pictures). Lettering on the front is in blue. There is no "RE" on the back of the jacket. There is wear on all seams and corners. There is ring wear on the front and back of the jacket. There are spots of discoloration on the back. Includes rare original insert to receive a "FABULOUS OFFER!" with no tears. Also includes original interior RCA Victor paper sleeve, with tearing along the top (see pictures). Colors on the front remain bright and the front and back of the jacket retain a nice gloss. Don't miss this rare gem!
