ELVIS PRESLEY – “FROM MEMPHIS TO VEGAS” (LSP-6020) – FIRST PRESSING FROM 1969 With ERROR CREDITS on “WORDS” (Boyce-Hart) and “SUSPICIOUS MINDS” (Frances Zambon). INCLUDES ONE BONUS PHOTO

RECORDS:  VG++ (EXC) for RECORD 1, with beautiful, original gloss. Side 1 has just a few extremely light surface scuffs that should not have any effect on the audible performance. VG++ (EXC) for RECORD 2 as well. Again, just a few very light surface scuffs. Both records should play like new! There is a very fine line between VG++ and NM- and this set could pass as NM-, but I want to stay conservative on grading. This set is a Hollywood pressing on Rigid Vinyl with “Deep Groove” Orange labels, which are absolutely beautiful. It is a First pressing with the error credits on “WORDS” (credited to Tommy Boyce-Bob Hart instead of R., B. & M Gibb) and “SUSPICIOUS MINDS” (credited to Frances Zambon instead of Mark James). These credits were later corrected and it is those corrected copies that have become the rare and highly sought-after copies! Record 1 is Elvis, “In Person at the International Hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada” and Record 2 is “Elvis Back In Memphis”. In 1970, these records were packaged individually as LSP-4428 and LSP-4429, respectively. The matrix numbers end with 6S/6S on RECORD 1 and 5S/6S on RECORD 2.

COVER:  VG+ with light to moderate ring wear, primarily to the top and bottoms on both sides. There are no seam splits, tape or writing, but there is a little corner wear. The spine as well as the upper & lower edges are all sound and fully legible. The only reason that I do not grade this cover as VG++ is due to what appears to be an old paper lift on the front. Perhaps there was a sticker there that someone pulled off and a small area of the slick came off with it. It was subsequently colored in with a marker. Please see all 8 photos of this album.

BONUS PHOTO: Photo “a” is included with this album. Originally, these albums came packaged with TWO Bonus Photos of four that were available at the time. The second photo is missing from this set. Photo “a” is VG++ with a tiny bend or “bump” at each corner. There are no bends or creases that enter into the body of the photo.
