RCA Victor RD-7723 Mono
Very rare 1969 UK 2nd issue Mono LP on 'Small Orange' Label
The first issue black label can be found in stunning condition but it's not every day a 2nd issue copy like this turns up. Examine the large photos following this descriptor text.
Vinyl - no scratches, no scuffs, just that lovely sheen. Very light use. Grade EXC+
Labels - A couple of light spindle marks only. Side One label has the very faint remainder of small initials at top centre [see photo], both nice and clean. Grade EXC
Cover - Stand up proud. Front clarifoil still flat and glossy. Rear is unmarked clean and very white, time has not yellowed or sullied it. The opening is still sharp with no sign of softening. The spine is as original, straight and readable with the clarifoil extending a half inch to the rear. Never initialled or written on. Never had price stickers removed. The internal seam joins are still intact. Grade EXC+
The inner sleeve is original clean and intact with minor corner creasing.
Audio - Listening test. Played both sides several times after careful cleaning and to remove static. Plays great, no jumps,skids,or pops. I compared this with my near perfect first issue - both have the same matrix numbers [S2PP 9052-1B and S2PP 9053-2B]....both issues have the same background static level.
All in all this is a collectors 'must have'. For posting the vinyl is kept in it's original liner but removed from the cover then both are placed between two card stiffeners inside a 'Covers 33' stout mailer with taped edges.
