ELVIS PRESLEY - HIS HAND IN MINE (LPM-2328) - A RARE SECOND PRESSING WITH "MONO" LABELS FROM 1963!
RECORD: VG+ with some light and scattered surface scuffs that should really do not impede the listening enjoyment. I played this record in its entirety and it was very enjoyable. Just some light to moderate audible "ticks" were noticed that did not override the music. There is a large scuff that is about the size of a fingerprint on Side 1, Track 5 ("Known Only To Him") that has absolutely no affect on the audio for that track; plays through just fine! There were definitely no skips or repeats upon test. The rare "MONO" Labels are simply gorgeous with minimal, light spindle marks. The matrix numbers end with 4S/3S on this Hollywood pressing. Initially released in 1960, this great gospel album spawned no immediate singles, although in 1966, two singles emerged as "Easter Singles", "Joshua Fit The Battle / Known Only To Him" and "Milky White Way / Swing Down Sweet Chariot". Jerry Osborne's "Presleyana VII" places a NM value of $300 for this record due to its scarcity.
COVER: VG- due to a large water stain that runs much of the distance of the spine area It is visible on both front and back and appears to also include scuffing. This cover can easily be upgraded as it is considered "common", spanning from 1960 to about 1967, unchanged. This cover has no seam splits, tape, writing or staple holes, although there is some edge & corner wear. There is no offensive odor from the water stain!
INNER SLEEVE: A period-correct, turquoise colored "ELVIS' Great LP Catalog" sleeve from 1963 is included.
