Incredibly Rare First Ever UK LP Release for Elvis Presley Rock 'N ' Roll on HMV CLP 1093
2XAV 255-1N and 2XAV 256-1N matrices .... 2 GD and 2 T Mothers/Stampers on runout grooves ....INDICATING VERY EARLY AND RARE 1ST UK PRESSING....rare RT Tax Code embossed on side 1 label....
The labels are in superb condition...at least EX
The vinyl plays really nicely and looks great..........when I first looked at this vinyl I got a shiver down my spine because I've never seen this extremely rare lp look in such good and relatively unused condition...there are a few hairlines and scuffs but nothing deep or significant at all.Which was why when I played it I was frustrated to find that on the first track on side one there are 9 skips.....after which it plays through superbly and with very little background noise at VG to almost VG+ level! On side two there is one skip right at the start of track one.....it then also plays through superbly with very little background noise at VG level... ..My customers know that I tell it like it is and I can honestly say that if you can ignore the few skips on the first track on side one you have a real gem here...fabulous repro....a real beauty!
The front of the cover is damaged as can be seen from the pic....there is tacky old sellotape residue on the edges...and sellotape repairs to tears and a piece missing at the opening . The rear is better...still sellotaped but much better....the whole back panel is complete and perfectly legible but some damage to flipbacks......spine is worn through for appx 30mm in the middle...can only be FAIR which is pretty much average for this lp these days....
Includes polylined inner sleeve....
