Description
Elvis' first LP HMV CLP 1093. This Elvis LP was purchased by my mother on Friday January 4th 1957. It has remained in the family ever since. It has been played a lot in the early days but it has never been played since 1st January 1969 (45 years remained unplayed). Every Elvis LP she had was and is catalogued and dated when last played. The cover, unfortunately, has suffered in the early years and has a few cellotape repairs on the cover front and back. It also has a repair to the open end middle on front and back. The spine and edges have a lot of wear all the way around. The vinyl itself has a few visible surface marks, scuffs and scratches. It has been framed (but never displayed). My mother framed and filed 14 Elvis LPs for her own personal special collection. This being one of them. The vinyl labels on both sides are in fantastic condition with no tears or marks and are still looking as new. (PLEASE SEE PHOTOS OF COVER AND LABELS)
Extra note: I have now played this LP for the first time since 1969 and all tracks play great with no jumps. There are the odd few pops and clicks along the way with the most noticeable being "I'm Counting On You" where it is worse half way through the song, but again, no jumps.
