Comments: It all began with this record, Elvis had just signed a new contract with RCA months before and this album would set the stage for a career that is now legend. Here is a real survivor, this is a fine original pressing from 1956 and it is in lovely shape. This album has a couple of different variations, but none is more valuable and rare than this very first run album that features the "Elvis" on the front cover in very light pink. Subsequent pressings back in 56' would change to a hot or neon pink. The cover is a real looker, bright and shiny front with just a tiny bit of wear in just a few spots. The back is also in extremely nice shape, just has a little light aging present here and there. The spine is fully intact and in great shape. Top and Bottom seams do have some what I’d call flaking and a little wear but both hold the disc in place perfectly, this cover displays really well and would look perfect in any fans collection. The labels are both in super shape as you can see, the vinyl is excellent for it’s age, just a couple of the lightest paper scuffs. And maybe one or two light scratches from being handled over the last 50 years, but played without any problems at all. This is a great original; you seldom see these anymore in this fine of shape. This record books in mint condition at $500+, this one is not totally mint, but not to be passed over in any way. A real bargain starting at $9.99 these are getting harder and harder to find, the LP that is at the very roots of rock and roll. Best of luck.
