Elvis Presley---"No. 2"---Ultra Rare As Good As This CLP 1105
This album is an original UK 1st pressed copy in mono from 1957 on the burgundy "Nipper" H.M.V. label, cat. no. CLP 1105 with matrix codes of G2-WP-7207-2N and G2-WP-7208-1N.
Vinyl rates as VG+ and plays well with light surface noise throughout but no distortion making great clarity of the music. There are very occasional light clicks especially on the quiet tracks at the beginning of side 2 but these hardly spoil the listening pleasure. The vinyl has very light, wispy hairlines, only visible under a strong light so that it looks nice and shiny both sides.
Labels are both really nice and clean, looking almost like new.
Flipback sleeve is solid and square and in a lot better condition than I have seen. It has no tears, just a little "ruffling up" of the opening edge. Front has a little laminate lift on the top left edge, back edge centre and bottom centre, but none of the laminate is missing. There are a couple of light creases. The back is clean and tidy for a white sleeve and, again has a little light laminate lift. Rear round corner flipbacks are almost intact as you can see and where the 1 cm is missing at the bottom means that it is open at this point.
There are no splits or tears in this cover.
A wonderful example of the rarest 1st press original 1N/2N Elvis Presley No.2 on the UK HMV label, in great condition and certainly a keeper.
