Description

PLEASE NOTE: 78 RPM RECORDS ARE VERY FRAGILE!  THEY MUST BE PACKED AND SHIPPED WITH GREATER CARE THAN LPs OR 45s. I TAKE GREAT CARE IN PACKING AND SHIPPING 78s. THIS RECORD WILL BE SANDWICHED IN CARDBOARD, WRAPPED IN BUBBLE WRAP, AND THEN NESTED IN STYROFOAM PEANUTS, OR SOMETHING SIMILAR, IN A LARGER BOX.

This is Elvis’ first release on RCA Victor after they bought his contract from Sun Records. Strangely enough, it was also his last release on Sun before he moved to RCA.

Under a bright light, this copy looks almost new. It has excellent gloss. The only signs of use are in the form of light scuffs, rubs and very light scratches – and very few of those. I see only one spindle mark - on the “Mystery Train” label and it is hard to see. I play-tested this record and “I Forgot…” plays with some minor BG noise throughout, best described as a light “fluttering” type noise, not explainable by its apparent condition and possibly present on the Master Tape. The music and vocal still comes through Loud & Strong. Mystery Train” plays beautifully and is Loud & Clear with no BG noise or “fluttering”.

I would grade this disc at VG+.

It will be shipped in a nice generic sleeve with an accompanying 78 RPM - RCA Victor sleeve of the era.
