Description

                  Elvis Presley Rock’n’Roll HMV CLP 1093-1st UK LP

 

*       A rare item from my own well looked after collection

       *        Bought for myself in 1956 from a small record shop in London

          *       Just raw energy-with Elvis so enjoying this recording session at Sun studios  

       *  The record is a first pressing with the distinctive cerise and gold label and the HMV dog-     

                 the label is marked in biro a small ‘roy’ (see picture)

*    Although there are a few surface marks-no deep scratches- the record plays so well

        a little background surface crackle more pronounced at the start of each side and a pop

        or two, and far from detracting from the performance actually adds authenticity to the

        recording- a trip back into the 50’s                                            

*          The sleave wear mainly at top and fore edge with small tears-I have repaired as neatly as  I could, mainly sellotape.

*    Inner sleave is in excellent condition with inscription ‘Take good care of your records’etc

          *           Item will be carefully packed and despatched 2nd class recorded delivery
