Elvis Presley 1st release debut album with other rare attributes. First and foremost, please examine the light or faded signature on the cover. It has not been authenticated but I examined several signatures of his on the internet and it could be authentic. He might have signed differently over the course of his career but I saw one where the E drops down into the bottom of the l in Elvis like this one does. Study it yourself and see if you come up with anything. This was found at an estate sale in Mobile Al. The only Elvis record in the collection. The label also has the supposedly rare (P.D.) out beside the song "Just Because"
As for condition. I am not an experienced record grader but have read up on it a bit so I will try and describe what I see. The Vinyl has a few light surface scratches and some shine. It plays remarkably well with no skips and really no other noise at all, certainly nothing that detracts from listening. It sounds very clean. So I give it a VG- for those surface scratches The label also looks like it has initials BP written on it possibly in pencil. Hard to see, doesn't stand out that much. The cover is split completely on top and bottom. Clear tape has not been applied yet. I'll leave that up to the buyer. I see no ring wear to mention. The inner sleeve was missing so I added a donor sleeve just to help protect the vinyl. Due to the splits I can only give the cover a G grade. That's my 2 cents. A very good record with a not so very good cover except it may have Elvis' signature autograph as a kicker. Thanks for looking.
