Description
This is an auction for an Original copy of the HARD TO FIND 1956 EP Elvis Presley release HEARTBREAK HOTEL released in the USA.
The record itself (EPA-830 dog on top) is ONLY in VERY GOOD condition with quite a few visible marks/scratches.(nothing too deep though)
The centre labels have NO WRITING but some ringwear and centre wear(see photos)
This is also the RARE issue WITHOUT SILVER LINE!
The THICK CARDBOARD picture sleeve is much sought after and was listed in a U.S guide book back in 2008 as $55 in the condition it is in now(which i would say is VERY GOOD/VERY GOOD+) for the sleeve alone!!!
This sleeve is over 57 years old and is in GREAT condition for the age.
There are NO RIPS,TEARS or WRITING!!(see photos)
The only things that stop this from grading even higher is some slight age discolouration, a seam split at the top, a name stamped at the top and scuff marks on Elvis' cheek on the front of the sleeve(see photos)
That all said this is a nice affordable sleeve until that Mint $100 one comes along!
The record is also stored in a separate paper sleeve to prevent anymore wear to this RARE sleeve!!
Overall 2 years ago this was valued at $75(£50 approx) .
I dont have a current price guide but i would say at least £55.
THIS REALLY IS A HARD TO FIND TO SLEEVE!!!
PLEASE REMEMBER THE OVERALL CONDITION OF RECORD IF/WHEN PLACING A BID AS THIS WILL SERVE AS AN AFFORDABLE COLLECTION FILLER UNTIL THAT MINT RECORD COMES ALONG!!!
With a LOW START and NO RESERVE you might be able to grab yourself a bargain!!
