Description
This is an auction for an Original copy of the HARD TO FIND 1956 DOUBLE EP release ELVIS PRESLEY - released in the USA.
The records themselves (EPB 1254 dog on top) are in EXCELLENT- condition retaining a lot of their natural sheen with minimal visible marks/scratches.
The centre labels are CRISP, CLEAN and have NO WRITING (see photos)
The THICK GATEFOLD CARDBOARD picture sleeve is much sought after and was listed in a U.S guide book back in 2012 as $300 in the condition it is in now (which i would say is EXCELLENT- ) for the sleeve alone!!!
This hard to find gatefold sleeve is 62 years old and is in nice condition for the age.
The sleeve is the variant with adverts on the rear for other RCA artists including Mario Lanza in the Student Prince (see photos)
There are NO SPLITS, RIPS, TEARS or WRITING (see photos)
The only things that stop this from grading even higher is some light ringwear/creases and some light age discolouration (see photos)
This is without doubt the BEST CONDITIONED record and sleeve set of this rarity that i have had available for many years!!
This is a really affordable addition to fill any collection until that Mint $400 records and sleeve come along.
The record is also stored in a separate paper sleeve to prevent anymore wear to this RARE sleeve!!
Overall 2 years ago this was valued at approx. $330+(£250 approx) .
I dont have a current price guide but i would say at least £260.
With a LOW START and NO RESERVE you might be able to grab yourself a bargain!!!
