Awesome STILL SEALED Albums!
"Burning Love Records"
Item: "Elvis Recorded Live in Memphis" STILL SEALED with RARE QUAD Release
Catalog: APD1-0606
Condition Check: Still Sealed
Date of Issue: 1974
SPECIAL NOTE: A few weeks ago I offered a host of SEALED albms from a collection I recently purchased. Today again I am pulling from that collection to bring you many rare Elvis sealed albums.
Today's Auctions: This album is from 1973 and this has always been a sort of sleeper LP! Some good material came from this studio album and has always been a bit under appreciated. This cover is notorious for being in bad shape because the dark background was susceptable to wear, but not this one, as clean as clean can be, the only slight issue is a small cutout at lower right side. Great still sealed album!
Closer Look At the Item: Wow, collectors take note! This is yet another stunning LP that does not come along often these days, this was part of a Quad experiment that RCA tried in 1974 and 1975 that never took hold and has now created some of the great collectable records. The reasoning was the new Quadraphonic record player had been introduced and RCA figured fans would want to hear Elvis in 4 channel delight, but like the Compact 33's years earlier this format never gained a footing and most quad records found their way to the bargain bins to get rid of them. That was the case here as a small cut out on the right side is the only flaw, otherwise this is a perfect sealed album! This books at $250 mint, this one is STILL SEALED!
Note on Packaging: All Elvis albums are packaged in Japanese resealable mylar covers, the finest in the industry. Records are not shipped inside the covers, so no worry of seam splits. All records are shipped in boxes, no envelopes here.

Rating Guide:
Mint (M): Perfect in every way, looks to have never been played, should have that look just as it did when you pulled the record from the new cover at the time of original purchase.
Mint Minus (M-): A nearly perfect record and cover. This item should show no readily visible signs of wear, covers and sleeves should have no more than nearly invisible rings or other signs of slight wear and vinyl should still be completely glossy and shiney, just the very lightest hint of wear if it is tilted to very bright light.
Very Good Plus (VG+): This record will show some signs that it was played and otherwise handled carefully by the previous owner. Record surfaces will show some light signs of paper scuffing or light scratches, that don't affect the listening experience. Slight warps that do not affect sound are OK. This disc should still contain much of its original luster and sheen. The covers and picture sleeves should also be in very nice shape, they may have light ring wear or other signs of wear, may have a small cut out hole, indention or stamping present. Also there can be non obvious writing on the paper goods.
Very Good (VG): Many of the defects found in the VG+ record and cover will be present but more pronounced in the VG item. Surface noise will be evident, although the record should play through without skipping or repeating. Groove wear will now be noticable, scuffing and light scratching will be appearent, a scratch now can be felt with a fingernail. Labels will be marred with tape or tape residue, stickers or descret writing. The same will be true for the LP cover or picture sleeve.
Good (G): Good does not mean bad! A record in good condition should be placed on a turntable and it should play through, all though the surface noise will be evident. A cover or picture sleeve will have seam splitting, especially on the bottom seam or spine. Also there will be noticable ring wear caused by the presence of the record. The defects will start to overwhere this item.
Fair (F) or Poor (P): This record will be cracked, badly warped, and will not play through without skipping or repeating. The picture sleeeve or LP cover will show lots and lots of wear, the seams will be split on all three sides barely able to hold the record. This item will appear near valueless, unless of course it is a rarity that may not be seen again.
THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!!
