Description
A rare copy of EmCee 5 - Let's Take Five, an EP featuring Ian and Mike Carr, Spike Heatley, Garry Cox & Ronnie Stephenson released in 1962 as part of the Lansdowne Jazz Series on Columbia.
We understand from the former owner this was Ian Carr's personal copy although we cannot show the provenance. It does however have a sticker on the Side 2 label - FACTORY SAMPLE Not For Sale ( See photos).
The record has been ultrasonically cleaned and has come up sparkling clean and in excellent condition.
Playback reveals a typically clear & vibrant mono sound with some light background noise/crackle audible between tracks.
The flipback laminate sleeve is smooth and shiny with no laminate lift or peel, slight ringwear, & a small area of shelfwear to the top seam. No writing, stains, tape or tears.
A super rare factory sample copy of a sought after EP & a great example for collectors of English Jazz.
