Description
This is a rare album of early English songs sung in authentic Elizabethan pronunciation by The Camerata of London, featuring Glenda Simpson (mezzo), Paul Hillier (baritone), Barry Mason (lute) & Rosemary Thorndycraft (bass viol). It features songs by Campion, Dowland, Ferrabosco, Hume, Danyel, Pilkington & Robert Jones. The gatefold sleeve is laminated front and back, and inside there are extensive sleevenotes by Glenda Simpson; notes on the pronunciation by Prof EJ Dobson and the lyrics themselves. The disc is housed in a plain paper, poly-lined inner sleeve.
The album will be supplied in a 65g protective PVC gatefold sleeve and posted in a commercial Defenda LP mailer made of corrugated cardboard (no charge for these).
Condition of Disc The disc is glossy with negligible signs of wear and plays beautifully. I have conservatively graded the disc as "Excellent" (Record Collector grading system).
Condition of Sleeve There is only minor shelf/handling wear. On the front is a removable "Penguin Recommendation" sticker. Graded "Excellent"
UK Postage Postage within the UK will be free by 2nd Class Recorded.
International Postage (Airmail) The price shown is the actual cost of Royal Mail Small Packet International Signed For.
