Original UK Polydor red label stereo press LP.

The first lp by Eric Burdon & War, a California based Jazz/Funk group who Burdon collaborated with from late 1969. The LP was recorded in San Francisco in January 1970 and released in April, whilst the band were touring the US. The cover depicts two disembodied but joined arms, one white and one black, both giving a three finger salute. The three fingers may represent the letter "w" in the word "war". This salute was also used on the cover of a future album 'War'. With the earliest A//1 B//2 matrices and 1-1-1 1-1-3 stampers of the very first issues!   The MacNeill Press matt sleeve is intact & in VG+ condition, with some edge/corner wear & some light storage rubbing/creasing on the cover. The spine is intact, slightly worn and still readable, the plain inner is intact and in EX condition.   The record is in visually EX condition, with a couple of faint hairlines and one or two small needle marks/scuffs, visible on each side, but there is a small area of bag rash on side 1 that does not affect play. The labels are in EX condition, clean & bright with evidence of a couple of faint spindle markings on each side.   The sound reproduction is EX, still clear & precise throughout with no loud pops, hiss or crackle & definately no skips, sticks or jumps, but there is some very brief background noise during the run in grooves, overall a really great, loud and lively listen!   The matrix nos. are; 2310041, A//1 stamper 1-1-1, B//2 stamper 1-1-3. This is one of the earliest copies of the 1st pressing of the original 1970 UK stereo issue of this album.

  All lp's are sent in cardboard record mailers with plastic covers and cardboard stiffeners to protect the LP's!!   UK Signed For Postage is £4.50 for the first LP & is the same for up to four single LP's or two double LP's or more up to 2kg.
