Description
This item is a very rare white label mono promotional double album by Eric Clapton entitled ‘History Of Eric Clapton’. Record label and number is Atco Records 2-803. Mono copies of this double album were promotional only and made for AM radio stations. All commercial copies were stereo. This Clapton compilation features songs, some rare, from performances with The Yardbirds, Cream, Derek & The Dominoes, Blind Faith and Delaney & Bonnie. Record 1 (Sides 1 & 3) is in VG- condition with a few hairline scuffs (two long ones) but record played well with very little audible distractions. Record 2 (Sides 2 & 4) is in VG+ condition with just a few light rub marks probably made from taking the record in and out of the paper inner sleeve. White promo labels are clean with little if any spindle wear (see photos). Gatefold cover is in VG+ condition with flaws being wear at the top of the cover at the center, some small stains on the front of the cover near the lower right corner, light ringwear on the front and back of the cover, a slightly dented corner with some light wear at the top left corner and some light wear on the bottom edges of the cover. There is also a slight one inch tear inside the gatefold cover at the center of the spine and is not visible on the outside the cover (see photos). Gatefold cover has a ‘dj copy monaural’ sticker affixed to the front of the cover. Original Atco Records inner sleeves are included. See photos for song listings.
