1980 Mobile Fidelity / MFSL first audiophile pressing, on premium Japan JVC Super Vinyl

Details:

Country: Japan (pressed in Japan for U.S. market)

Issue: original first MFSL audiophile pressing, 1980.  Complete package with insert.

Vinyl Grade:  Near Mint, just two spindle marks on Side One label, approximately four spindle marks on Side Two label, it's hard to be sure because one spindle mark curls around an overlaps, as is commonly seen. Definitely NOT a kaleidoscope of spindle marks, this record has been rarely played.

Cover Grade:  conservatively graded VG+, this is a very nice example but has the beginning of a seam-split at the bottom, only 1/2" long but I noticed it for the first time during the examination for this listing.  It's not a split, it's more like a cracking of the white, but that is how all seam-splits start out.  The LP will be shipped safely outside the cover, so no problem there.

Card Insert:  Near Mint, the "Superdiscs, Supertapes, Superstars, Super Quality" promotional gatefold insert with the MFSL essay "An Audiophile's Dream Come True!" on the reverse.

Packaging: The sealed album will be placed in a clear outer protective sleeve, then sandwiched between two large cardboard stiffener pads and carefully taped together.  I have used this method for many years to practically eliminate seam splits on sealed LPs.  The album is then packaged with bubble-wrap and Styrofoam peanuts in an oversize box.  I know what it is like to receive poorly packaged records, you will not have that experience with me!

Tracking: You should automatically receive your Tracking Number by email when the Shipping Label is printed.

No Return Policy:  This collectible LP is long out of print, not replaceable, in top condition and fragile by nature.  I have packaged many hundreds of valuable record LPs over the years, but most people have not, and it's not an easy thing to do properly.  When I have accepted returns in the past, both times (yes, I've had two albums returned in the last 14 years) they arrived with damage to the cover.  I realize it's not intentional, but it happens.  One trip through the postal system is enough, so this album is offered with eBay's 'No Return' policy in effect for this listing.  As always, if there is a problem with the album itself (e.g., item is somehow not as described), just let me know, I am a reasonable person and eBay's money back guarantee is still in effect.  Of course if the album is damaged during transit please let me know immediately and SAVE the packaging because it is needed for the Insurance claim.  We will get the Insurance claim filed right away and process your refund as quickly as possible.  Please check my feedback, you will see that I only offer top quality record albums and my customers are happy!
