Esquerita - Eskew Reeder (ne:Steven Quincy Reeder Jr, SQ Jr.) is credited by many with giving Little Richard his sucessful style, or at the least being a massive influance on him. Tho he did not record until after Little Richards huge fame on RCA & Back Beat labels in the mid fifties/ Esquerita was, from the get-go, a wild and crazy rock and roll piano player on stage. His Pompador was at least twice the size of Little Richards and his piano playing was simply insane! He did not record until 1958, then in 1959 Capital came on board and that is when Eskew Reeder adopted the name Esquerita (Eskew Reeder). Great Rockabilly album to ad to any collection~
