IN THE GOOD OLD SUMMERTIME

JUDY GARLAND

Soundtracks Recorded Directly From the MGM film musical. ?

MGM Records L-11 Pressed on Metrolite

Up next is an excellent copy of the rare 78 rpm album of Judy Garland singing songs from the soundtrack of the 1949 MGM film, In The Good Old Summer Time. I am trying to reduce my record collection of its back-up copies. The inside cover of this album features photos from the film. MGM Records released these soundtrack recordings in a twofer albums featuring An American in Paris in 1955. It too only included four songs from the film. Osborne and a few other discographies include In The Good Old Summertime pressed on a 33 1/3 ten inch LP. MGM Records intended to release the soundtrack with that of The Barkleys of Broadway but the album never was released. This is an excellent copy of Summertime. The jacket is worn but intact and the songs all sound excellent.

I listen to all of the records that I sell on a Dual turntable unless they are sealed. Thanks for looking and please check out my other records on eBay.

Also, please check out my new children's book, Can I Keep Them? as well as For the Record: Confessions of Vinyl-Soundtrack Junkie and Peter Pan On Stage and Screen.
