You Are bidding on this 45 by The Eyes Of Dawn "Time To Be Going" b/w "Ignorance & Hardship" on Sir John A records RG 1018 from 1967.
Named after Canada's first Prime Minister, Sir John A records was a label that existed for less than 2 years. Formed to celebrate Canada's centennial year in 1967 by local Ottawa personality John Pozer and musician/artist Ron Greene - the label tapped into some of the Ottawa area's hottest up and coming bands. The records issued on the label were very limited pressings of 100 - 500 quantities.
The first of 2 singles for this Ottawa band. "Time To Be Going" guitar drenched, fast paced killer 45 with super vocal harmonies. "Ignorance & Hardship" is a fantastic psychedelic raw edged track with killer haunting vocals and echo guitar. Considered to be one of the best Sir John A releases. This is the Second rarest of the Sir John A singles-also the only one with the Blue Sir John A Logo.
