description details

Ezra Collective release new music! On the occasion of the Record Store Day a strictly limited vinyl with the new track "Dark Side Riddim" will be released!

Dark Side Riddim is a new previously unreleased song. The artwork is packaged in a gatefold depicting the origin story of Ezra Collective in a sci-fi inspired comic. The 12 inch vinyl is limited to 1000 copies worldwide and will be available from August 29th as part of Record Store Day.

Since their triumphant, sold-out performance at London's Round House in 2019, the collective has toured the US, Japan, Indonesia, Singapore and New Zealand. There they left concertgoers enchanted by the party-like show.

Ezra Collective are five young Londoners: band leader Femi Koleoso (drums), his brother TJ Koleoso (bass), Joe Armon-Jones (keys), Ife Ogunjobi (trumpet) and James Mollison (saxophone).

Samuel L Riddim / Dark Side Riddim marks the band's first release since their debut album You Can't Steal My Joy, which was released in April 2019. It features guest vocals Jorja Smith, KOKOROKO and Loyle Carner, who certainly played their part in making the Ezra Collective one of the UK's most exciting bands. Her debut was also key to establishing herself as an integral part of the UK jazz scene.

"Quest For Coin is about chasing money while not losing your soul along the way," explains bandleader and drummer Femi Koleoso of the track. “You know that situation where you can't afford the train, so you take the bus and a beautiful stranger starts talking to you about your saxophone case. Yes, exactly that. So basically city life, life in London.”

about us

Our founding year 1998 - long after vinyl was declared dead and long before vinyl was hailed as cool again - proves that we are real vinyl nerds. We only started out as a small record dealer from home. Later we opened our first real record shop and then of course our own online shop. Everything with passion and always with the motto: SAVE THE VINYL. What is not available online is available in our Übersee store, Frühlingsweg 22. Overseas? Yes. Übersee Am Chiemsee. Right on the A8 autobahn, between Munich and Salzburg. Here you will also find a fine range of second-hand vinyl.
We also have a large selection of equipment from many manufacturers. Simply everything you need for everything to do with vinyl...
