We mail all paid items ONE WEEK after auctions end. Please keep in mind our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule by a day or two. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office. Overseas mail to some countries (Italy, Russia, France, in particular) has became very slow. Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable and will result in blocking the bidder. We work hard to provide excellent service as is represented by our 8000 plus positive feedback.   We use a VPI machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery.   We take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied. 1968 STILL FACTORY SEALED ... never opened -- never played ...

ALWAYS been a hard LP to find, even when first released near 50 years ago ...

DICK DODD was the heart & soul of the STANDELLS ... '60s teen scene Hollywood Sunset Strip hearthrob, it was Dodd who's snarly curled up lip fronted the punk-edge of the Standells...

Any way you stack it up, Dick Dodd started out life with quite an impressive resume.  One of the original Mouseketeers, his-post Disney career included stints singing and playing drums for a number of Southern California bands including The Bel-Aires, The Casuals, Eddie and the Showmen and The Standells. 1968's "First Evolution of Dick Dodd" teamed Dodd with Standells' producer/writer Ed Cobb.  Sure, 'Stone Blues Man' recalled The Standells rough and tumble garage attack, but for the most part the album downplayed the former's gritty attack in favor of a more polished sound.  That may not sound very promising to some folks, but Dodd had one of those versatile (great) voices that allowed him to effortlessly handle  styles.  Anyone doubting that comment need only listen to 'Twenty-Four Hours of Loneliness', or 'Mary, Mary Row Your Boat'.   (The LP also included both sides of the earlier 45.)  Overall nice sidebar for Standells fans and the rarest "STANDELLS" album for sure! .
